
W. Preston Hutchings is a seasoned investor with ~40 years in financial markets. Before retiring in 2022, he was Chief Investment Officer of Arch Capital Group Ltd. (Bermuda), overseeing a US$26bn portfolio with significant allocations to Asian fixed income, private credit, hedge funds, and equities. Prior to Arch (from 2005), he served seven years as CIO of RenaissanceRe and, earlier, Mid Ocean Re (now a subsidiary of AXA XL). He is currently on the board of EAAA Alternatives (India-focused alternatives manager), Senior Advisor to LimeTree Capital (Hong Kong; under-researched Asian infrastructure), and Chairman of Saïd Holdings Ltd. (the family office established by Wafic Saïd). He holds a BA from Hamilton College and an MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
