Neeraj Seth is a senior investment executive with 20+ years in Asian credit across public and private markets. He is the former CIO of Asia-Pacific Fixed Income at BlackRock, where he led the Asian Macro & Credit investment team and built BlackRock’s Asian Credit business from the ground up since 2009. He was responsible for investment performance, platform infrastructure, the platform’s strategic direction and growth initiatives. Neeraj served as CIO and Senior Portfolio Manager for public and private credit portfolios across benchmark and absolute-return strategies, including the hedge strategy sleeve of R3 Capital Partners. He sat on key BlackRock committees—the Asia Pacific Executive Committee, Global Credit Executive Committee, APAC Private Credit Investment Committee, and the Infrastructure Debt Investment Committee—and co-sponsored BlackRock’s philanthropic efforts in Southeast Asia. Before joining BlackRock in 2009, he was Senior Vice President at R3 Capital Partners, focusing on the Asia-Pacific investment sleeve of a global credit hedge strategy, and previously held a similar role with the Global Principal Strategies team at Lehman Brothers. Earlier, he was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company in the Technology & Telecom leadership group for Southeast Asia, and started his career as an Engineer at Samsung Electronics in South Korea and Malaysia. Neeraj holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University.
